Movie Selection:  

Superpass includes a small selection of independent, documentary and classic films available online. These movies change periodically and are great for those just curious about obscure cinema. However, the typical movie watcher would rather seen new releases and big stars.

There is also a small selection of classic television shows including My Favorite Martian, I Spy and the Invisible Man. These are fun pieces of TV history, but the average user would hardly bat an eye.

Superpass’ real shine is in the music and radio sections. With your membership you can download $10 worth of music a month and listen to some of the best online radio stations ad free. They also have the live feed from the Big Brother house (a very popular feature.)  

Ease of Use of Service:  

Generally, RealPlayer is a easy to use media player. Most audio and video formats are compatible with RealPlayer and once installed you don’t have to do a whole lot of converting. On the homepage everything is clearly labeled in tabs at the top of the menu.

However, finding information about Superpass’ service is difficult without signing up. You cannot search the website to see what the service offers. Everything leads you right back to the “Sign up Now” menu, which requires you to use a credit card to use the trial. To be honest we are not fond of services that make you use a credit card to sign up and don’t offer information before doing so.  

Help/Support:  

We contacted Superpass support twice. Both times they returned our email within the allotted 24 period promised by the service. Although the emails were returned promptly we felt they were short and only vaguely helpful. Usually only one half of our questions were answered and the responded email included a link to the site’s help pages for more information.

This service is good for those looking for an all around entertainment portal, much like an interactive online magazine. However, their movie section still needs some serious work.
